Rick, Michele's husband, has always been into model building. From grade school up through college he was building plastic scale models of the U.S.S Constitution, U.S.S Arizona, the ships from Columbus, and the Mayflower to name but a few, as well as wood 1:70 scale models of the U.S. Constitution - a 5-year project! And has a 1:70 scale model of the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan.
   During the COVID outbreak when everyone was restricted to work from home, he needed something to occupy in his spare time, so he went back into model building, but not plastic. Been-there-done-that. Searching the Internet he came across a You Tube video "Build the Back to the Future DeLorean!" 1:8 scale Die-Cast model of the time machine featured in the Michael J. Fox movie Back to the Future, with working electrics, including the famous Flux Capacitor! 
  This lead him on a journey to building classic cars in 1:8 scale Die-Cast metal, such as the Shelby Cobra, the Shelby Super Snake, the Steve McQueen Le Mans Porsche 917kh, NYFD Fire Truck, and the Fast & Furious Dodge Charger, to name but a few.
  These museum-quality models are highly detailed and accurate to the real car. Every model includes the most life-like materials that excite with exquisite detailing and thrill with functionality – from working electronics, suspension, steering, doors, windows lights and sounds to remote-controlled moving parts. Plus! No glue is used in the construction of these models. They are all made from high quality metal, hundreds of screws and ABS plastic.
  Some of these models can be modified for an additional cost to bring the model closer to the real car.
